Specialist communications, engagement and consultation firm Thirty4/7 Communications has started 2023 as they mean to go on as they welcomed senior hire Andy Hughes as an Associate Director.

Hughes joins Thirty4/7 to support existing projects and assist with the company’s continued expansion in the South West and South Wales. He brings with him nearly a decade’s worth of experience in public affairs, stakeholder engagement and community consultation. Most recently, Hughes worked in regional government, having led on infrastructure communications at the West of England Combined Authority. Prior to this he provided strategic advice and counsel to clients in a wide range of sectors including residential, mixed-use, retail and energy, which he gained in previous agency roles where he headed up the South West and Wales regions.

Founding Director of Thirty4/7, Will Morgan, said:

“I’m absolutely delighted to have Andy on board. His extensive knowledge and experience of consultation, engagement and the political landscape in the South West and Wales will be a real asset to the company and our clients. Andy is joining at a really exciting and important time for Thirty4/7, as we continue to grow our offering, deliver real value for our clients, and work collaboratively with communities to ensure they have a tangible input on local, regionally and nationally significant planning projects.”

Thirty4/7 Communications was formed in 2018 and since then has developed a reputation for delivering high value communications, public relations, public affairs and consultation services for clients across a range of sectors. The company provides consultancy services for a range of renewable energy, transport, retail, residential and other sustainable development projects across the UK. Key projects since the company’s inception include numerous developments of national significance (DNS) in Wales, and nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs) in England. Clients include Low Carbon, National Highways, Cotswold Homes, Aldi, Protium, Pennant Walters, Voltalia, National Trust and Enso Energy.

Commenting on his move to Thirty4/7, Hughes said:

“It is great to start 2023 off on such a positive note. I am thrilled to be joining such a brilliant team, and I cannot wait to get going. There are a lot of exciting projects to get involved with already, and I am looking forward to supporting clients old and new as well as helping the company continue its impressive growth.

“The company’s focus on delivering high quality consultancy services to those looking to develop the vital infrastructure we need for the future, whilst also keeping a firm eye on the positive impacts we can all have on the local environment is a key driver for us all. I’m excited to take on this important role within the team.”

Thirty4/7 Communications has recently announced its partnership with tree-planting charity ‘Stump up for Trees’ to support its aim to plant one million trees to help combat the nature and climate emergency.
