University partners with world-leading ICT provider
Research projects will aim to improve broadband experience for billions of smartphone users worldwide
Huawei, the world’s leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has today announced two research and development projects that it is undertaking with Cardiff University.
The projects will look to reduce the overall energy consumption and operational costs of communications networks, with the aim of improving the broadband experience for billions of smartphone users around the world.
The R&D partnership was announced as Huawei’s UK CEO, Gordon Luo, spoke at the Forum on UK-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship, held at Cardiff University on Friday. It is part of Huawei’s long-term commitment to collaborating on R&D with a number of British universities.
