We Build Bots, the Cardiff based AI company whose flagship product IntelAgent is used by some of the world’s biggest brands has launched a Seedrs campaign to raise £500,000. The startup – which incorporated in August 2017 – hit 50% of its funding goal within days of going live on Seedrs, and now expects to exceed its overall target in the coming weeks.
IntelAgent collects customer service conversation data from chatbots, voice assistants (like Alexa and Google Home), and more traditional channels like email and sms, and applies AI to that data. The outputs help businesses automate responses to customer queries, segment customers, highlight sales opportunities and improve productivity across customer services, sales and marketing. The savings for businesses using IntelAgent can run into the millions of pounds each year, and the product is already installed with Amnesty International, The AA driving school, Future Plc and a number of utilities companies, including Welsh Water.
We Build Bots was spun out of Fast Grow 50 agency Coup Media last August, having been incubated for 18 months. Since then the company has been a Welsh Start Up Awards finalist, selected as one of Europe’s top 200 startups by Web Summit, and made it into the final 25 of Oracle’s Global Cloud Accelerator. Add to that a growing list of blue chip clients and it’s been busy six months for the start up.
“IntelAgent is helping companies across the utilities, automotive, charity and publishing sectors save money, make money and better engage with their customers” said We Build Bots founder and CEO Paul Shepherd. “We’re delighted with how quickly we’ve reached 50% of our target raise, and we look forward to scaling our sales, development and data teams once the round is closed”.
Seedrs is Europe’s largest equity crowdfunding platform where seasoned investors and the general public alike come to invest in the best new startups. With minimum investment levels of just £10, it’s proving an increasingly popular way to invest in companies with high growth potential.
