Camilleri Roofing, the South Wales based roofing contractor, has maintained its reputation for high quality work by securing their 10th national roofing accolade at this year’s UK Roofing awards.

The UK Roofing Awards has become an industry-wide event that recognises and rewards outstanding standards of workmanship and safety within the UK roofing industry.

This year’s event, a glittering ceremony held at the InterContinental O2 Hotel in London on Friday 10 May, saw TV presenter and property expert Sarah Beeny present Camilleri Roofing with the Roof Slating award, in recognition of their work at the grade II listed BSK Building at Clifton College in Bristol. 

The 1,000m2 project required a complete roof renewal using natural Welsh slates. A total of 15,000 Cwt y Bugail Blue/Grey rectangular slates and Penrhyn Heather Blue Arrowhead slates were fitted on the duo-pitch roofs in distinctive ornamental alternating bands, replicating the original design from 1862.

The project adds to Camilleri Roofing’s impressive portfolio of historic and prestigious buildings, which includes Cardiff Bay’s iconic Pierhead Building, for which they won the same award in 2006.
