Businesses in Wales striving to help the environment are being invited to apply to NatWest’s Climate Entrepreneur Accelerator Programme

As part of bank’s commitments around climate change, NatWest has set itself a goal of at least 25% of its October programme intake being businesses whose core offering supports sustainable environmental activities.

Designed to help climate focused businesses to grow and scale, the digitally-based three-month programme will include specialist one-to-one mentoring, group workshops, access to specialist networks and supply chains including those in the climate sector, as well as support from NatWest’s national programme partners. These include Dell Technologies, Pinsent Masons, Equifax, Deloitte Propel, FreeAgent and Hiscox.

The NatWest Climate Accelerator Programme is fully-funded by the bank with no requirements to give-up equity in your business. The aim is to ensure participating businesses have the best chance to succeed.

Siwan Rees, NatWest Entrepreneur Acceleration Manager in Wales, said:

“We want to offer climate focussed businesses wraparound support to help them achieve their goals supporting the environment, in addition to the support provided through our core accelerator programme.

“Our NatWest Climate Accelerator programme has been tailored to empower Climate focused businesses looking to grow and scale. In addition to all of the benefits of our core Accelerator programme, our Climate Accelerator specifically addresses the needs of Climate focussed businesses. We have designed this programme having identified some of the key challenges faced by these types of businesses.”

To register your application for the programme follow these steps:

1) Visit https://accelerator.natwest.com/Account/Login/Register where you will be asked to enter an email and a password of your choice. You will then be asked to agree to NatWest’s terms and conditions.
