Two members of staff from Family Housing Association Wales (FHA Wales) were among the nominees at the Housing Heroes Awards, in the Inspirational Colleague of the Year category.
Jay Crouch, Older Persons Team Manager and Andrea Lock, St Helen’s Team Manager were nominated by their fellow employees to receive the prestigious award at the ceremony in Manchester Central’s Exchange Hall.
Karen Dusgate, Chief Executive of FHA Wales, said:
“It’s fantastic that not just one but two of our employees were nominated for such a prestigious national award. Such recognition from their co-workers is a testament to all of the amazing work that they have put in over the last year.
“This was also a great opportunity to put FHA Wales’ work on the map not just locally but nationally and we are extremely proud of both Jay and Andrea for their achievements.”
Comedian and actor, Justin Moorhouse, hosted the award ceremony in Manchester and there were more than 700 key figures from the housing sector in attendance.
The awards, which are aimed at celebrating the unsung heroes of the housing sector, had categories ranging from Apprentice of the Year to Lifetime Achievement award.
Jay Crouch, said:
“It was amazing to be amongst the nominees at an event which is held in such a high regard throughout the housing sector. It’s a very proud moment for me personally but also for FHA Wales as my achievements are a reflection of all the hard work that goes on across all of the teams in FHA.”
Andrea Lock, said:
“I’m honoured to have been selected by my co-workers in such a strong category. Just to be among the nominees is a privilege and I wouldn’t have got here without the rest of my team at FHA Wales as well as the help and support of the wider organisation.”
