“There is a great atmosphere at The West Arms and nothing is ever too much trouble. The team have been extremely supportive and have shown lots of ‘interest’ in my adventures to raise awareness for Parkinson’s. I am hoping Mark can join me on one of my next four challenges, which together form the 4Deserts Grand Slam in 2020.”

Alex was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2008 and decided to raise funds for and awareness of Parkinson's disease. Under the banner of a challenge entitled 10MillionMetres, Alex has completed many marathons, ultra-endurance races, and triathlons internationally.

In Llanarmon DC, he has been enjoying The West Arms country hotel and Inn with plenty of country walks, not to mention delicious summer dishes served up by the hotel’s award winning chef Grant Williams!

Speaking about his ongoing challenges Alex says:

“I’ve decided to do this as there has to be better treatments or even a cure for a disease that robs, the young and old alike, of their independence. I want a cure for millions around the planet.  Together we can make change happen!” #KeepMoving
