ComLink Fire & Security are recent winners at the Welsh Start Up awards, picking up the prize for best Business to Business Service.

The firm, based in Carmarthen, install Fire and Security systems to homeowners and businesses looking to keep their properties and staff safe.

Speaking on the history of the Business, Tom James said;

“We started the business with three vans and no specific plan other than to work as hard as possible to continually be referred by word of mouth. Two years later and 900 contracts later we have started to achieve what we initially set out to do and will continue to do. We acquired a small company in Swansea after 6 months of trading and funded the purchase without borrowing and have gone on to consolidate the purchase and retain 100% of the client database through delivering a service that can be relied on.”

Speaking on winning the award Tom commented;

“It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening topped off by winning the award. We put hours into the work to provide for our families, pay staff and try and build a positive environment within the company and the view of the company externally and this goes a long way in doing so. In regards to the award itself, we are extremely proud especially as it was for Business to Business services which is something that we strive to get right, so we will be shouting about it”
