The Welsh Business Feeding Local Families in Need this Christmas

Bridgend-based Soft Services provider A&R Services is aiming to feed over 100 families this Christmas with the launch of their ‘Feed Families’ Christmas appeal.

Aimed at helping households in need across the whole of Wales, the ‘Feed Families’ campaign will provide a festive food hamper to those who need it most during the holiday season.

With the help of local businesses, A&R’s 2020 pledge to feed 5 families was exceeded, resulting in support for 35 families in need; a target that they are aiming to more than double for 2021.

Job-losses, furlough, and the constant unknown surrounding COVID-19 has been extremely difficult for so many over the last 18 months.

This year’s appeal sees the business partnering with local charities and also allows local communities to nominate an individual or family who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The charities involved so far include Latch Children’s Charity, Calon DVS, The Small Things, and Special Families Maesteg, with more set to come on board.

Ashley Davies, Co-founder of A&R Services said:

“‘After the success of our Feed Five Families campaign last year, we wanted 2021 to be an even bigger success and result in support for even more families right the way across Wales.’’

Businesses across Wales have already pledged their support for the appeal including Adcock, Rhino Doors, AMB Building Construction and Extra Scope, to name a few.

Ashley added:

“We are delighted to have gained such incredible support already from local businesses and charities. It continues to be a trying time for many families and we are looking forward to spreading some Christmas cheer to those in need.”
