Located in Llantrisant, near Cardiff, The Royal Mint Experience welcomes thousands of visitors through its doors every year and yesterday was awarded with being the Tourist Attraction of the Year at The Welsh Hospitality Awards.

This is the 4th year of the Welsh Hospitality Awards, which aims to recognise and reward those within the hospitality industry that deliver excellent experiences to their customers. This is the first time for The Royal Mint Experience to receive such a prestigious award.

The Royal Mint Experience provides a great opportunity to go behind the scenes and discover stories from The Royal Mint’s 1,100 year history. Visitors can see for themselves how coins are made, then tour through a series of walk-through interactive exhibition zones that bring the organisation’s rich heritage to life. Over the Summer holidays, The Royal Mint Experience will also be hosting a range of fun and often free events.
