More than 500 new jobs have been created in South Wales by CGI since it agreed funding from the Welsh Government in 2014, the company has announced.
The new roles are based in the local authority area of Bridgend County Borough, South Wales where CGI is one of the largest IT employers.
CGI delivers a range of outsourcing, application services and infrastructure services to clients across the UK from South Wales. The new roles include service desk analysts, technical design architects, project management, security specialists and network engineers and are critical in CGI delivering services to clients in both the commercial and public sectors.
Funding
In 2014, the Welsh Government agreed funding to support the creation of 620 new jobs over five years, with CGI recruiting over 500 new members in the first 18 months of the programme to support its business growth.
