peterlynnniarace1Peter Lynn & Partners solicitor Nia Godsmark came fourth out of a field of 10 in her first ever horse race.

Nia, 35, rode in the Peter Lynn & Partners Countryside Alliance Charity Race at Ffos Las.

Riding Joshella in the 1m 2f flat race Nia raised upwards of £2,000 for Tywyn Special Needs Primary School in Port Talbot.

“It was a brilliant experience and I was so delighted to finish as high up the field as fourth, especially as it meant I got to get into the winner’s enclosure,” said Nia.

Nia made the running for much of the race but got caught on the final bend.

“A stable lad came first which was brilliant for his career but the next four places were filled by the four women in the race,” added Nia.

“I have done a lot of eventing and show jumping in the past but this was my first experience of horse racing.”

Peter Lynn, Senior Partner at PL&P, added: “I think what Nia achieved was fantastic and not to mention that she raised some valuable money for charity. I’m just glad she reached the finish line in one piece.”
