Fairyhill, an exclusive wedding and events venue based in Gower, has unveiled its new ‘space age’ inspired, luxury hotel rooms as part of the final phase of its £1 million development project this week.
The new bedrooms are situated on the ground floor of the K Room, a 184 square metre glass extension that opened earlier this year.
The luxury bedrooms offer mod-cons such as Sonos and Alexa music systems, LED lighting and Nespresso coffee machines.
The K Room’s unusual name was coined due to its stunning panoramic window design, which reflects light to create a kaleidoscope effect.
Managing Director Andrew Hole, said:
“Our happy couples can now invite up to 45 guests to stay at the venue on their wedding night. We’ve spent years understanding the wedding market and know exclusive accommodation as part of the package is a key ingredient.
“Following two years of constant development and investment we couldn’t be more pleased to complete the project. It is an honour to have such a famous location as the second venue in our portfolio.
“I can’t thank everyone enough who has worked with us to bring our vision to life. Our focus will now be on continuing to grow our market as well as maintaining the five-star service and standards that the Oldwalls Collection has become renowned for.”
The unique K Room was purpose built to host weddings and special events. Its design is deliberately at odds with the beautiful façade of the Georgian property to offer the ultimate ‘something old, something new’ concept.
Since reopening as Fairyhill by Oldwalls earlier this year the former hotel and restaurant has fast become renowned as a leading wedding venue in Wales. The wedding venue is set to attract a whopping 20,000 visitors next year.
In addition to the new extension, the Georgian property has undergone a full refurbishment, including transforming the former servants’ quarters into additional bedrooms.
In September the wedding specialists launched their latest blockbuster mini movie entitled ‘Something Old, Something New’. The video is an artistic masterpiece that powerfully showcases the original Georgian house and the development of the super cool, ultra-modern K Room wing. Since its release, ‘Something Old, Something New’ has gone viral garnering over 200,000 views online.
