Safety Letterbox Company expansion for growth
On the back of rapid growth in the past 24 months and increasing demand, The Safety Letterbox Company, the UK’s leading manufacturer of mail and parcel solutions, has increased the size of its premises, and its capacity by a further 50%.
The Safety Letterbox Company, based in South Wales, provides high tech, bespoke and secure letterboxes throughout the UK and worldwide. It has worked on numerous high profile projects including the Burj Khalifa in Dubai – the world’s tallest building.
Closer to home, the team have recently installed 242 mailboxes at the new Swansea University Bay Campus, on Fabian Way.
The company has expanded its operations into the premises next door to its existing operations on Milland Road Industrial Estate, Neath, South Wales. It has taken an additional 5,000 sq ft at the new building.
Alison Orrells, managing director of The Safety Letterbox Company, said:
“It has been a positive couple of years for the company with demand for our products growing exponentially. The decision to increase the workspace has allowed us to further invest in machinery and equipment to increase our capacity and cope with the next stage of growth. It also enables us to offer a quicker turnaround for the customer and demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement and the future of this business manufacturing in South Wales’.
“Fortunately we have been able to expand into the premises next door so we do not have to split the workforce – this provides us with maximum efficiency. Additionally, more space for staff was becoming more of a necessity and this allows us to improve facilities. We have grown the team by 50% in the last five years and will be looking to grow it further over the coming years.”
