Senior Site Manager at North Wales Housebuilder Recognised in Prestigious Industry Awards

Nigel Pritchard, Senior Site Manager at Macbryde Homes’ Bron Y Castell development in Abergele, has been recognised by the National House Building Council (NHBC) for his dedication to building homes of outstanding quality.  He is amongst a number of Site Managers nationwide to be named in the annual NHBC Pride in the Job Awards and will now go forward to an awards ceremony in Cardiff later in the year where Seal of Excellence Awards and Regional Winners will be announced.

Now in its 39th year, Pride in the Job celebrates the exceptional contribution made by site managers in creating homes of outstanding quality.

In order to be recognised in the first round of these prestigious awards, Nigel not only had to undergo a series of spot checks to review the day to day running of the site, but was also assessed in 37 core competencies that included his technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls employed on site.

Speaking of his success in the first round, Nigel comments:

“The NHBC is held in high regard across the housebuilding sector for the work it carries out to raise standards and its promotion of best practice.

“Similarly, both myself and the rest of the Macbryde Homes team, have always been focused on delivering homes of the very best standard, in an environment that is grounded in best practice and first-class results.  It is, therefore, fantastic to be recognised in this way.”

Gwyn Jones Managing Director at Macbryde Homes, adds:

“Since joining the Macbryde family in 2017, Nigel has consistently demonstrated his commitment to be the very finest Senior Site Manager he can be and as a business with an ambitious vision for continued growth, whilst maintaining high standards,  this is exactly what we need.

“Macbryde is about so much more than simply building houses.  We possess a deep belief in delivering quality affordable homes, that are designed to complement the environment in which they’re located, and which meet the needs of the local population who will want to invest in them.  To make this vision a reality entails a team where each member is equally invested in the end goal, but central to any site’s success is the Site Manager.  When Nigel heads to the award finals in September, he’ll do so with the full support of the entire Macbryde team.”
