A section of the A469 Caerphilly Road from the Birchgrove Pub to where the road joins the A470, inbound, will be closed to traffic on Sunday April 17.
The closure will allow ducting to be installed for cabling to allow for the new controlled pedestrian crossing which will be installed outside the Birchgrove pub, as part of the regeneration scheme.
The road closure will begin at begin at 8am on Sunday April 17 and it is anticipated that the work will be complete by 6pm.
The closure will mean that traffic will be diverted during this time. Those travelling down Heathwood Road and Caerphilly Road will be diverted down Birchgrove Road, to join the A470 Northern Avenue/Manor Way to Gabalfa roundabout.
From Gabalfa roundabout motorists can then travel south down North Road, Crwys Road or Western Avenue.
Those wishing to travel north from Gabalfa roundabout are able to travel up the A469 Caerphilly Road, outbound, as this will remain open.
