Savills Announced as Event Sponsor for Cardiff Business Club’s Renewable Energy Panel

Cardiff Business Club is pleased to confirm Savills as the official event sponsor for the upcoming panel event, “The Renewable Energy Transition – What’s in it for you and for Wales?” taking place on Tuesday 9 December 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff (Glamorgan County Cricket Club).

This major event will explore the far-reaching impact of renewable energy investment in Wales, with a particular focus on the £3 billion being invested by Bute Energy, and what that means for contractors, communities, businesses, and future talent.

The panel discussion will be chaired by Sophie Howe, former Future Generations Commissioner for Wales, and will feature voices from across the supply chain who have directly benefited from Bute Energy’s investment including:

  • Local contractors and SME suppliers
  • Third sector partners supporting communities
  • Young people who are beginning their careers in renewable energy
  • Strategic partners helping to deliver green infrastructure across Wales

Attendees will hear real stories from the ground, and gain insights into the opportunities still to come for businesses and organisations across Wales as the transition to renewable energy accelerates.

Phil Jardine, Chair of Cardiff Business Club, said:

“We are delighted to have Savills on board as the event sponsor for this important and timely conversation. Renewable energy is no longer a niche sector, it’s a national priority, and one that will shape the future of the Welsh economy. This event will bring those opportunities to life, and highlight the role that every part of the business community can play. With Savills’ deep knowledge of land, property and strategic planning, their involvement is a perfect fit.”

Jack Pugsley, Director, Savills, Cardiff, said:

“Savills is proud to sponsor this important event with Cardiff Business Club, focusing on the opportunities created by Wales’s transition to renewable energy. Supporting renewable energy projects, like those led by Bute Energy – including Twyn Hywel energy park in Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taf, requires a joined-up approach between landowners, developers, planners, communities and investors, and we are excited to be part of that conversation. We look forward to engaging with the audience and exploring how the property sector can play a leading role in building a more sustainable and prosperous future for Wales.”
