Britain’s leading volunteering charity, Royal Voluntary Service has appointed UpriseVSI to undertake a review of the design and content strategy for key sections of their website.

Founded in 1938, having celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2018, the Royal Voluntary Service is a national charity that provides support to people in hospitals and communities by matching volunteers to roles which suit their motivations, lifestyle and location.

UpriseVSI has been commissioned by the Royal Voluntary Service to review and re-design specific areas of its existing website, including the home page and volunteer section. The key objective is to effectively communicate the Royal Voluntary Service’s positioning and key messages as well as providing potential volunteers visiting the site with an enhanced user experience.

One of the key elements will be to give people interested in volunteering the ability to quickly and easily search for available roles in their local area.  However, as well as being able to find roles within a specific radius, visitors to the site will now also be able to search according to their personal motivations for volunteering.

The revamped website will be launched at the end of March to coincide with a new initiative aimed at inspiring more people of all ages and backgrounds to give their time and talents to support their communities and position Royal Voluntary Service as a great place for people to volunteer.

Paul Stafford, Head of Marketing at Royal Voluntary Service said:

“We’re very excited to share both our upcoming initiative and the revised sections of our website in March. The UX, design and content teams from UpriseVSI have helped us to create a fantastic volunteer experience for anyone that visits the site.”

Gareth Rees Jones, Managing Director of UpriseVSI said:

“The Royal Voluntary Service is an amazing charity that does so much great work to help people volunteer their time and set-up new volunteering initiatives in local communities and hospitals.

“We’re delighted to be working with Royal Voluntary Service on this project and look forward to helping them improve their online presence in order to match more people with volunteering roles.”
