Historic builders’ merchants, Robert Price, has welcomed Aberdare-based building and roofing suppliers, Builders’ Bitz, into its group.

Offering quality materials to the Aberdare and Mountain Ash Valley, the newly acquired Builders’ Bitz will become the twenty-third branch in the Robert Price group, selling everything from building materials, roofing and timber to tools and workwear.

As the largest independent builders’ merchants in South East Wales, Robert Price operates multiple builders’ merchants across the region, plus a selection of specialist branches for roofing, timber, insulation, and agricultural supplies.

Although they are integrating into the Robert Price network, Builders’ Bitz will continue to trade under the Builders’ Bitz banner, but with some new benefits for the customer. This includes access to Robert Price’s specialist services and an increased stock range availability.

Additionally, Robert Price customers will also benefit from the acquisition, with the new branch increasing coverage in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

“This is an exciting time of growth for both businesses,” Marketing Director at Robert Price, Molly Pike, explains.

“Builders’ Bitz have an excellent reputation for service in the local community, and Robert Price is delighted to welcome the branch and its team into the group.

“Not only will it further expand our existing Robert Price branch reach and lorry fleet, but it will also provide Builders’ Bitz with the opportunity for further growth and development.”

Suppliers or customers with any queries relating to the acquisition are encouraged to contact the Robert Price head office team in Abergavenny or the team at Builders’ Bitz for more information.
