Plans to revitalise Tenby Market Hall are progressing following a public engagement event that attracted strong interest and feedback from residents, traders, businesses and other stakeholders.
The engagement event provided an opportunity for the community to share its views on the future of the historic Market Hall. Feedback received has been reviewed and is now being incorporated into the developing proposals, helping to shape plans that reflect local priorities and aspirations.
In addition to the wider public engagement, Pembrokeshire County Council has undertaken early discussions with Market Hall traders, providing an opportunity to showcase the emerging designs and gather initial feedback ahead of the public release of proposals. This early engagement has helped ensure that the views of traders, who play a vital role in the Market Hall's future success, are reflected in the evolving plans, the council said.
The project has also received a significant boost through the securing of Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) investment, which is enabling the next stage of design development. This funding supports the preparation of detailed plans.
The council is now preparing to release the designs in the coming weeks. These plans will provide a clearer picture of the emerging proposals and will be shared publicly to gather further feedback before the project progresses to the next phase, it said.

As plans develop, a further public questionnaire will be issued, providing another opportunity for residents, traders, stakeholders, and visitors to share their views and help influence the final design.
