The award-winning Llandudno company has unveiled plans for a London office and will take on more staff in the coming weeks.
Managing Director Jeremy Keane and the team also received a prestigious endorsement from Microsoft, a standard not held by any other firm in North Wales.
With employees Jon Costello and Alan Greenwood helping Risc achieve Microsoft’s gold competency for Business Productivity – and new clients including a national retailer coming on board – it’s been an incredible year already for the cloud computing and IT solutions provider.
“A lot of the hard work that took place last year has come to fruition in the past weeks,” said Jeremy.
“To be endorsed by Microsoft is terrific for us, and to have Alan and Jon achieve their gold standard after studying hard and passing extremely tough exams makes me very proud.
“To be a Microsoft partner gives us kudos but also credibility, so when the customer sees that ‘tick’ next to our name and the benchmarks we have reached they know what we are capable of and how we stand out from the rest.”
Technical consultant Jon added:

Risc gained further certification over the winter, including IASME (Information Assurance for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) and Cyber Essentials PLUS, coupled with reaccreditation of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001, internationally recognised standards.
And more focus on direct sales proved to be an area of strength which has seen them attract several new customers, notably a retail business with hundreds of staff across the UK.
“New clients in the south of England led to the decision to open an office in London,” said Jeremy.
“We are a flexible company which operates around-the-clock so it was the logical next step and will support our continued growth.”
“Targeting direct business has been very successful and means we will be employing two people to meet demand for extra resources, and more in the future.
“It’s been a very busy and positive period and we want to build on that momentum.”
Employing 20 people at their Church Walks headquarters, Risc’s next aim is to turn silver competencies in the Cloud Platform and Enterprise Mobility Management categories into gold.
