After announcing a working partnership earlier this year, two of Wales' leading property experts are already expanding their delivery team.

Mortgage Advice Bureau's Kirsty Williams will service the Carmarthen, Llanelli and Ammanford offices of West Wales Properties, building on an already successful arrangement that has seen immediate benefits for the sales and letting agency.

Alison Richards, sales director for West Wales Properties, said,

“since we started offering mortgage advice to our clients, we've noticed an increase in the number of purchases that are completing as the time between application to offer is noticeably quicker.”

Swansea based Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) and West Wales Properties joined forces earlier this year to offer onsite mortgage advice to homebuyers and landlords across West Wales in a partnership that has gone from strength to strength.

“A noticeable difference,”

continued Alison,

“is their ability to access a wide range of mortgage products, which means people who may have previously been turned down by banks and other high-street lenders are now able to obtain a mortgage, enabling them to purchase the home they wanted.”

The whole-of-market access also increases the speed of the mortgage process, so the time between mortgage application and offer is usually a few days, sometimes a few hours, and this speed has been a key feature as both businesses continue to grow.

Richard Hullin, director of MAB Swansea said,

“Unlike some lenders, we are not restricted to a handful of mortgage products but have direct access to hundreds of regulated mortgage providers, including specialist lenders who work with self-employed individuals or those who are first-time buyers.”

Another benefit of the partnership has been MAB's unique estate agency portal which allows agents to log-in and view the progress of the mortgage application in real-time.

Neil Evans, owner of West Wales Properties commented,

“We pride ourselves on the excellent customer service we offer and integral to this is regular communication between buyers and sellers, and the portal allows us to give more accurate, almost real-time communication to keep everyone in the loop.”

Kirsty will soon be joined by another member of the MAB team, who will be covering the Haverfordwest, Fishguard, Tenby and Cardigan offices of West Wales Properties on a full-time basis.
