An independent Newport coffee shop played host to the launch of this year’s Monmouthshire Business Awards.
Sponsors and judges gathered at Horton’s Coffee House on the Newport riverfront for the official launch of the 2018 awards.
The informal event marked the second year of the awards’ expansion to include the ‘old Monmouthshire’ – towns and cities that were part of the county prior to 1965.
Entries are accepted from businesses in Monmouthshire, Newport, Caerleon, Cwmbran, Ebbw Vale, Usk and Caerphilly.
MBA Founder and Director, Janet Harris, said:
“Horton’s Coffee House was a finalist in last year’s Monmouthshire Business Awards and in the year since we have got to know them and their community spirit which we feel is in keeping with the MBAs.
“When we were looking for a venue to launch in this year we felt that Horton’s was perfect.”
