Monmouthshire Building Society to Celebrate at ABP Newport Wales Marathon

Monmouthshire Building Society will be celebrating their 150th anniversary in style by joining the party at the 2019 ABP Newport Wales Marathon & 10K.

The mutual building society was established in Newport back in 1869, but were at the heart of a new era for the city at the inaugural ABP Newport Wales Marathon & 10K in April. Following the success of the first edition of Wales’ new national marathon, Monmouthshire Building Society have continued to support the event as an official partner.

Thousands of runners will be chasing a personal best when the event returns on Sunday 5th May, and organisers Run 4 Wales are delighted to have Monmouthshire Building Society back on board.

Entries are flying out fast for the second edition of the ABP Newport Wales Marathon and 10K. Almost 2,000 general entry spaces have already been filled as marathoners from all over the world race to sign up, after 72 percent of entrants claimed personal bests at the inaugural event.

Runners can also sign up by through Lead Charity Partner NSPCC, who are offering a limited number of £15 spaces in the ABP Newport Wales Marathon for runners pledging to raise £500.

The ABP Newport Wales Marathon will be a member of AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) and be measured by a AUKCM Grade 1/IAAF/AIMS Grade B Course Measurer.
