A charity golf day organised by Morris, Marshall and Poole with Norman Lloyd has raised £1,800 for the Wales Air Ambulance.

The Mid Wales and Shropshire estate agents and chartered surveyors held the event at Aberdyfi Golf Club last month, with businesses and individuals from throughout Powys, Ceredigion, Shropshire and Gwynedd taking part.

“It was a great event for what is a vital cause here in rural Wales,” said Bryan Jarman, a Chartered Surveyor at MMP/NL. “Seventeen teams took part with the winning one made up of Richard Jones, Matthew Evans and Andy Jarman from north Powys.”

Gerald Morgan from Morgan Accountants won closest to pin competition and Jason Harris of Border Garage (Welshpool) won the longest drive.

“We’d like to thank everyone who took part ad helped raise money for the Wales Air Ambulance,” added Bryan.

The air ambulance charity has a helicopter based at the Montgomeryshire Mid Wales Airport at Welshpool, Powys, which covers a large area of Mid Wales, as well as other parts of the Wales when necessary.
