Award-winning Denbighshire-based medical products company donates handwash sanitisers to North Wales children’s home

Award-winning biotechnology company, Medipure has donated supplies of handwash sanitiser to an Action for Children children’s home in North Wales. The Denbighshire-based firm delivered 100ml bottles of handwash and 12 litre bottles to keep topped up during the coronavirus pandemic.

Caroline Morris, registered manager at the home, said:

‘I contacted the company and as soon as he heard we were a children’s charity they were very eager to help in any way they could. They even sent supplies to our other children’s home in the Wrexham area.

‘Genuine acts of kindness like this mean so much to us in the charity sector, a local business going out of their way to help support us during this difficult time there is no thank you big enough, it really means the world to us and our children.’

The home’s team leader, Wynne Randles, added:

‘It’s a fantastic gesture from Medipure at a time when hygiene is of such critical importance. We are ensuring our children and young people are as active as possible during lockdown with garden camping, country walks, cooking and exercise classes complementing their schoolwork.

‘Hygiene has become even more important as we all try to stop the spread of Covid-19 so it’s wonderful to have a good supply of top-quality sanitisers from an innovative North Wales company.’

Established in 2001, Medipure Ltd is a privately-owned biotechnology company, dedicated to providing the highest quality services and products to both public and private organisations involved in Infection Control & Prevention. The firm provides services to endoscopy departments, ear, nose and throat (ENT) hospitals, hospital estates, decontamination equipment manufacturers and care homes as well as gyms and leisure centres.
