Showcasing the Best of Welsh Business

Meat Delivery Business Launches to Meet Demand in South West Wales

It has been estimated that almost half (48%) of Brits are current online grocery shoppers, with 60 per cent of said shoppers citing online shopping as more convenient than visiting stores.

In response to this growing trend, a new meat delivery business has been set up in South West Wales, to meet the rising demand for fresh and convenient produce without the hassle of a supermarket trip.

Dragon Fine Foods, located in Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire, is offering the delivery service across all SA postcodes currently, with a focus on providing fresh meat and poultry straight to customers’ doorsteps or offices.

Managing Director of Dragon Fine Foods, Chris Isaac comments:

“There’s been a noticeable rise in online shopping in the UK and by launching Dragon fine Foods, we hope to be able to save people the time and effort it can take to visit the supermarket by providing healthy, quality cuts of meat that you’d expect to buy at your local butchers, delivered direct to homes or offices.”

The study, by retail analysts Mintel, also suggests online grocery sales were approximately £8.6billion last year. And it is predicting they will soar 73 per cent to reach £15billion by 2020.

Chris continues:

“We know time can be an issue; people lead busy lives with work and families, so by offering this convenient service and delivering our meats right to peoples doorsteps whether they are at home or in work, we aim to take the stress out of eating well, as well as capitalising on the online shopping opportunities on a more local level.”

The delivery area is currently all SA postcodes but with the potential to expand in the future.  The full range of Dragon Fine Foods products are available at
