To celebrate the year of the woman, a regular Women Empowerment Soirée run by transformation coach, Joy Ogeh-Hutfield will be using the next event to discuss managing stress, anxiety and depression in both a personal and professional sense, following the recent Mental Health Awareness Week 2018 (14 – 20 May 2018).

Joy Ogeh-Hutfield, motivational speaker, author and multi-award-winning life transformation coach, is the founder of Joy Transformation, and will host her Women Empowerment Soirée ‘Love Yourself Beautiful’ in the Dragon Hotel, Swansea on the 22 June 2018.

The evening event will see Joy and two guest speakers discuss how to be successful in the workplace, become the best version of yourself, and how to manage and cope with stress, anxiety and depression – both in everyday life, as well as in the workplace.

Joy Ogeh-Hutfield has over 20 years’ experience in the coaching industry and set up Joy Transformation to coach both businesses and individuals in all areas of life and organisations via her ‘Mindset for Success’ and ‘Team Transformation’ programmes – just two of the many life transformational programmes she runs.

Results from the Health and Safety Executive 2016/17 statistics showed that stress, depression or anxiety accounted for 40 per cent of all work-related ill health cases, and 49 per cent of all working days lost due to ill health. The total number of cases in the UK of work related stress, depression or anxiety in 2016/17 was 526,000. These results show the impact of work-related ill health cases, and highlights the reasons events such as Joy’s Women Empowerment Soirées are vital in order to create a support network for females in the workplace.

Joy has experienced many obstacles along the way, and these obstacles are what motivates her to strive to form a support network where individuals can attend, meet other likeminded people and share any issues or worries they may not yet feel comfortable to discuss elsewhere.

Joy Ogeh-Hutfield continues:

“Mental health is a subject very close to my heart – from suffering miscarriages, skin cancer, the loss of my mother, amongst maintaining a strong household and upbringing for my family, mental health is something which should be acknowledged and talked about.

“This event will allow us all to celebrate who we are as women, what our purpose is, and become the best possible versions of ourselves.

“The year of the woman isn’t about us neglecting the importance of males in the workplace and home life – it is about being equal, and there is every need to celebrate that in today’s world. I can’t wait so see many familiar faces, as well as new ones in my upcoming event! We’re all here to support one another, and I think that’s the most important thing.”

Key speaker Cheryl Bass, managing director of I AM WOMAN – a business club run throughout the Wales region – has spent over 25 years leading national and international businesses.

Cheryl Bass’ commitment to providing support and encouragement for female business executives and entrepreneurs dates back to 1992, when she launched one of the first Enterprise Centres for women in business.

Cheryl Bass comments:

“I feel so blessed and excited to speak at this event that is going to help women put themselves in the forefront of looking good and feeling great in their business.”

Second key speaker, Samira Mohamad Ali – business owner, former actress and model – will focus on bringing mindfulness and meditation to the event, and will share some exciting tools and webtools to help people manage anxiety and stress in a work environment.

Discussing the upcoming event, Samira Mohamad Ali said:

“I have been meditating since the age of 18. Not only have these practices provided a coping mechanism for dealing with the pressures of a grueling schedule, but mindfulness techniques also helped me overcome the fear and anxiety of walking catwalks and red carpets around the globe.

“I am very excited to speak at the fabulous Joys women’s soirée and what a great women’s empowerment platform indeed!”

Like every event Joy Ogeh-Hutfield hosts, there will be a raffle draw to support Arteco Orphanage in Zambia. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to this chosen charity to provide the establishment with mosquito nets.

Joy Ogeh-Hutfield comments:

“I have a strong connection to the Arteco Orphanage, and so thought this would be the ideal opportunity to try and give back. All of the lovely ladies who attend my Women Soirees are always so thoughtful, kind and caring and giving back is also in their nature.

Joy Ogeh-Hutfield’s vast experience in the industry has allowed her to work with individuals, businesses and leading international organisations across the world and has worked with organisations such as Barclays Bank and BBC, leading her to become recognised as an international speaker and TV personality.

Joy is also the author of the ‘The Secrets to Motivating Your Team’ and the life-changing ‘Made Easy’ work book series, including ‘Purpose Made Easy’ and ‘Joy Made Easy’, with further books set to be released in 2018.
