Welsh law firm Hutchinson Thomas has appointed two solicitors to its property team.

The law firm, which operates from Neath and Swansea, recently welcomed Jemma Collins and Jacqui Jones to the business, who are both residential property solicitors.

Collins, who qualified as a solicitor nearly ten years ago, previously worked at Hughes Jenkins Solicitors, where she managed various kinds of conveyancing in the Cynon Valley/Rhondda Cynon Taff region. She has also worked at Richard Thomas Solicitors and Glamorgan Law.

Jones’ career in residential property spans five years, having previously worked at Insight Law in Cardiff and Barry-based Griffiths Ings. She has also worked in commercial property in Bristol. She boasts ten years as a qualified chartered fellow of ILEX.

Jemma Collins said:

“I am excited to join Hutchinson Thomas – their reputation for delivering top quality legal services is second to none. I am looking forward to using my knowledge and skill set within the property department.”

Jacqui Jones said:

“I met the Hutchinson Thomas team a few years ago, but at the time, had unfortunately already accepted another role. When a role became available and I was contacted again last month, I was very happy to finally join Hutchinson Thomas. The firm has an excellent reputation and I was honoured to finally become a part of the firm, where I am able to work alongside a team with a wealth of experience and vast knowledge.

“I’m looking forward to meeting with local clients and expanding my current residential property knowledge. I enjoy the fact that each property is different, be it freehold or leasehold. I enjoy unravelling the complexities of the title to fully understand what the client is buying or selling.”

Huw Jones, partner and head of property at Hutchinson Thomas, added:

“Both Jemma and Jacqui have a strong background in property law, and a proven track record in delivering excellent outcomes for clients. Customer satisfaction is at the heart of what we do, so recruiting enthusiastic, committed team members such as Jemma and Jacqui is essential. We are impressed by the depth of their knowledge and by their professional approach to their work, and look forward to seeing them develop further with us.”
