Law Firm Announces Senior Promotions and Key Appointment

JCP Solicitors has announced a round of senior promotions and appointments across the business.

The firm has promoted Natalie Corbi and Eleri Roebuck to Directors, and Samuel Barnes to Senior Associate Solicitor. External hire Souiful Alam also joins the award-winning firm as a Director.

Natalie Corbi joined JCP Solicitors as a Legal Secretary in 2007, before moving into the role of Risk and Compliance Officer in 2014. A non-lawyer, Natalie was promoted to Compliance Manager in 2020, reflecting her advanced experience and knowledge of complex risk and compliance procedures. In her new role as a Director, Natalie will bring her specialist knowledge to guide the business strategy and ensure compliance continues to be at the forefront of the firm’s practice.

Eleri Roebuck joined JCP Solicitors in 2012 as a Paralegal and began her training contract in in 2015 in Commercial Property. A Welsh speaker, Eleri qualified into the team in 2017, accepting a Deputy Team Leader role in 2024 whilst a Senior Associate. Eleri’s latest promotion to Director reflects her diligent, considered approach to commercial property matters, whilst her strong leadership skills see her promotion include progression to the role of Joint Team Leader.

Joining Eleri as one of JCP Solicitors’ Commercial Property Directors is Souiful Alam. Moving from Port Talbot based Howe & Spender, Souiful first qualified as a lawyer in 2009 with a specialist property law firm in Cardiff. Fluent in Bengali, Hindi, Sylheti and Urdu, Souiful will bring expert knowledge of commercial deals to help serve JCP’s property client-base, the firm said.

Also stepping into a new Senior Associate role is Samuel Barnes. Sam joined JCP Solicitors as a Legal Assistant in 2018, before accepting a training contract in the Injury Services team and qualifying in 2022. Sam’s promotion to Senior Associate Solicitor represents his advanced knowledge and case handling skills, supporting the team with complex cases of serious injury.
