Cardiff-based Acuity Counsel Celebrates Two Years of Growth

An innovative outsourcing model for virtual in-house legal support is celebrating two years of impressive growth.

Acuity Counsel, run by Cardiff-based law firm Acuity Legal, offers a full legal service to businesses, including access to specialist lawyers for corporate, commercial, property and HR advice.

Since its launch in 2015, it has built a client following of 35 businesses which have a combined turnover close to £1billion and a total workforce of more than 10,000 employees.

With some 45 per cent of its client base outside Wales, the model services multiple sectors including technology, healthcare, education, automotive, engineering, manufacturing, energy, retail, local government and leisure and tourism.

Among its clients are Bluestone Resorts, Peter’s Food and Rituals Cosmetics.

Acuity Counsel is designed around individual business needs, allowing flexible and easy access to lawyers whenever they need legal or commercial advice.

The subscription-based service is aimed at anyone from managing directors and finance directors to in-house lawyers and entrepreneurs.

Elena Servini, who heads up Acuity Counsel, said:

“We created Acuity Counsel in response to the need in the market for an agile and cost-effective resource where you can pick up the phone and get quick advice on day-to-day legal queries.

“Whether it’s a commercial contract or HR query, our team is there to help in a fast, efficient and practical way. The imminent launch of our online platform will make it even easier for businesses to get the legal support they need.

“We are very excited about the continued growth of the service, which ticks so many boxes for our clients. The main attraction is that it offers all the benefits of an in-house legal service but without the expense.”
