The University of South Wales (USW) is hosting an industry open day on Tuesday 19 July, showcasing how businesses can access its state-of-the-art health, policing, sport and science facilities.
Taking place at USW’s Pontypridd Campus from 9.30am to 3.30pm, the open day is a great opportunity to find out about the many ways organisations can work with USW, including business support, use of its industry-standard facilities and working with some of the brightest talent in Wales.
The event will also be a chance to meet and network with USW’s industry partners from across South Wales. A tour of the unique facilities will include:
- Simulation Centre: a state-of-the-art clinical simulation centre that is set up to replicate an acute care NHS environment, providing realistic clinical facilities
- Hydra Suite: a sophisticated of piece of technology that is used to teach police officers specific skills and develop their understanding of the law in a variety of situations
- The Chiropractic Clinic: a state-of-art facility and educational setting that provides effective patient treatment and specialist training
- Sport Park: a fantastic 30-acre site that hosts a wide range of sporting facilities, including an indoor FIFA standard 3G football pitch. The facility is used by numerous professional clubs including Cardiff City Academy, Cardiff Blues and the Women's FAW.
