Greenaway Scott are thrilled to be shortlisted twice in the 2019 Wales Legal Awards, being nominated for Corporate and Commercial Team of the Year and Associate Director Leanne Thomas being announced as a contender for Rising Star of the Year.

The Wales Legal Awards were established with the purpose of celebrating the success of those practicing in and providing services to the legal profession. The aim of the awards is to highlight and celebrate the excellence in all parts of the legal community, within sectors such as corporate and commercial, employment, claimant law, property and construction, residential and conveyancing and commercial litigation.

Being shortlisted for both Corporate and Commercial Team of the Year and Rising Star of the Year has proven again that Greenaway Scott is going from strength to strength with no sign of slowing down. This comes after Greenaway Scott appeared on Experian’s list of most active advisors in Wales in 2018, moving from fifth to second having been involved in 11 deals during 2018. The success of last year also saw directors Nigel Greenaway and Matthew Sutton receive Dealmaker of the Year and Young Dealmaker of the Year at the Wales Dealmaker Awards, the most prestigious prizes of the night hosted by Insider Media. Furthermore, 3 of Greenaway Scott’s lawyers – Rhian Osborne, Matthew Sutton and Leanne Thomas were featured in Wales Online’s Top 30 Young Lawyers to Watch and Leanne Thomas being named as runner up for Professional Woman of the Year in the 2018 Woman in Business Awards. Mixed with the success of new offices situated in Swansea and Bristol, Greenaway Scott is continuing to assert itself as a strong, successful law firm in the UK.

Greenaway Scott is part of GS Verde Group – alongside Verde Corporate Finance – a multi-discipline corporate advisory business that operates under an alternative business structure, which is unique to Wales. The Group covers both legal aspects and the financial advisory element through Verde Corporate Finance, enabling the group to advise on deals from start to finish. Alongside Greenaway Scott’s success, Verde Corporate Finance have been shortlisted for Corporate Finance Team of the Year in the upcoming Finance Awards Wales.
