Throughout 2020, Grapevine Event Management will be raising money for Cancer Research Wales; one of the leading charities searching to find a cure to cancer in Wales.

Cancer Research Wales funds a great variety of projects in Wales, developing life-changing treatments, diagnostic techniques and research. All of this is being undertaken in the universities and hospitals throughout the nation and cover many cancer sites that include cancers of the prostate, colon, breast, kidney, blood (leukaemia), cervix and oesophagus.

Director of Grapevine Event Management, Liz Brookes said

“We are proud to be able to support such an incredibly worthy cause. The innovative work Cancer Research Wales carries out every year directly effects thousands of lives across the country, and as such they were the perfect choice as our charity partner.

We look forward to working with the charity and raising lots of money for them!”

Cancer Research Wales has been chosen at the nominated charity for the Cardiff Business Awards, Wales STEM Awards and the Wales Transport Awards, so all money raised will go towards hitting the target of £3000.  As well as various other fundraising events throughout the year each member of the team has set their own personal goals in a bid to raise money. Liz and Paige will be running various 10km races around Wales and finishing with the Cardiff Half Marathon in October, and Zoe will be taking part in The Big Welsh Jump; falling 12,000ft in a tandem skydive!
