Social Enterprise, Get The Gen, are offering businesses located in Newport and Rhondda Cynon Taff fully funded workshops to help recruit, retain, and develop the best local talent.

Get The Gen work with businesses across the UK and internationally to offer a unique perspective into the challenges of managing a multi-generational and rapidly changing workforce. They share good practice around how to create collaboration and cohesion to enhance business performance and employee engagement. With 4, or even 5, generations now often working together, there has never been a more important time to get this right!

This insightful and highly interactive online workshop is being offered to local businesses in RCT and Newport on a fully funded basis throughout March-June 2022.

The 2-hour workshop equips employers with knowledge, insight, and tools to help them grow and get the best out of their diverse workforce.

The workshops are a part of the Newport and RCT 360 programme which is supported by the UK Government Community Renewal fund and works in partnership with colleagues from Volunteering Matters and Employee Volunteering. The collective goal is to help local people level-up their employment prospects from school leavers to older adults.

Employee Volunteering will be working with businesses to create nationally managed, locally delivered volunteering opportunities, enabling teams to share their expertise and upskill individuals returning to work. This not only supports the local people, but it also builds links to customers and develops better connected teams.

Each fully funded offer is open to businesses of any industry and size, operating in the Newport and RCT areas.
