Cymru Coaches, one of the largest coach companies in Wales, and winner of the 2020 Wales Transport Awards in the category of ‘Coach Operator of the Year’ is the latest bus partner to be announced by the UK’s fastest growing green coach provider FlixBus.

The coach company, based in Swansea, South Wales is now delivering daily services between London and Swansea for the tech travel brand. The route will also include stops at Heathrow Airport, Bristol, Cardiff and Bridgend.

Steve Pearce, Managing Director at Cymru Coaches said:

“We are really impressed with the innovation, energy and ambition FlixBus is bringing to the UK’s coach industry.

“It’s an exciting time to be joining FlixBus, and we’re looking forward to taking our business into its next phase by becoming a partner to a globally recognised brand.”

Cymru Coaches has a proud Welsh heritage, sponsoring many Swansea University sports teams, a destination on its route.

This is the second Welsh-based operator to join the world’s largest coach provider, following a partnership with Bella Road Services (BRS), announced last month.

Andreas Schorling, Managing Director of FlixBus UK said:

“We’re making clear our ambition to become the market leader in the UK, and we’re delighted to bring Cymru Coaches on board as a long-term partner ahead of the summer holiday season to deliver services between Wales and England.

“The experienced Cymru team have an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong appetite for success through excellent operations and customer service. They are a fantastic asset to our network and we look forward to growing together.”

“We’re really planning ahead now to scale our network in 2023, so now is the time for operators from all parts of the country to consider beginning their journey with FlixBus,”

Schorling added.
