The first ever remote meeting of Pembrokeshire County Council’s Cabinet is planned for Monday,18th May.

Due to the coronavirus, all Pembrokeshire County Council committee meetings have been on hold since Monday, 30th March.

In the meantime delegation arrangements put in place to deal with emergency and urgent decisions have continued, with Leader and Cabinet consultation on all decisions.

All Members of Council have been kept up to date through an agreed communications process led by Cllr Neil Prior, Cabinet Member for Transformation and IT.

Cabinet members will meet remotely next week and discuss a series of agenda items.

The meeting will be streamed live to the public and available to watch later as normal.

Pembrokeshire County Council Leader, Cllr David Simpson, said:

“The response to the coronavirus has, of course, been the priority for us as an Authority.

“However, it is now vitally important that we resume the cycle of meetings. I thank my fellow councillors for their patience and understanding while we have worked through this process.

“The Cabinet has kept in close touch via Skype over recent weeks, as have the majority of staff, due to our foresight in investing in technology that has enabled what we call ‘smarter working', and holding democratic meetings online is the next step.”
