Simply Factoring Brokers has appointed a digital marketing expert as it grows its online presence.
Shaun Thomas, 39, joins the Newport-based brokerage after working in senior marketing roles both in Wales and London with financial and tech institutions, including Dell Computers.
Mr Thomas said:
“Marketing has always been something that made me tick, and in such a constantly-developing industry, there is always something new to learn, test and adopt. This has been my approach when starting with Simply Factoring Brokers. This is a business that is rapidly growing, and in order to sustain that level of growth, we need to develop our online systems both internally and externally.”
Speaking of the appointment, Steven Adams, director at Simply Factoring Brokers, said:
“Shaun is an addition that I have been planning for a while. We want to develop online systems that help us cope with aggressive growth internally, as well as generate business externally by utilising digital tools that complement what our sales team are achieving face-to-face. Shaun is at the forefront of our online growth, and his experience in the financial and technology sector positions him perfectly for the role.”
Mr Thomas continued:
“I am very fortunate that Steven Adams is giving me the freedom to put processes in place that will allow us to achieve what we need to. He respects my expertise and gives me guidance when I need it; it is a challenging role that excites me. The end game is for us to sustainably maintain our position as the leading invoice factoring broker in the UK.”
The business has developed and introduced a new CRM system that will allow the staff to efficiently handle relationships throughout the lifetime of the customer.
Simply Factoring Brokers, which opened its headquarters mid-2015 in Gold Tops, Newport, has seen a 130% increase in turnover between June 2014 and June 2015, and the firm is on track to more than triple its revenue with projected growth at 230% by mid-2016.
