Finance Awards Wales 2020 has officially launched and open for nominations. Following the success of the previous year’s awards, this year’s nominations can be submitted from today, through to January 17th, with the winners announced in a glittering ceremony in Cardiff’s City Hall on Friday 15 May 2020.

Organisers promise another amazing evening which will celebrate the talented Finance professionals across Wales.

“We cannot believe that 2020 is our third year of doing these important awards and we are delighted to open up nominations for entries from across the Finance sector”, says Finance Awards Wales MD, Matt Hyde.  “Our vision – to recognise, attract and invest in Finance talent is core to what we are doing.  Last year we were proud to recognise over 40 winners across 11 categories, shining a light on the rich talent we have in Wales and celebrating the valuable work of the Finance sector.  We are excited to find new talent in 2020 and add to the Finance Awards Wales family”.

With categories ranging from CFO/FD of the Year to Rising Star of the Year, nominations are sought from all industries and sectors. The well-respected judging panel of Ken Poole as Chairman, Emma Peterson, Mark Tweed and Mike Fowler returns for their third year, but are also joined with some new judges for this year.

Principal sponsor Recruit 121 is thrilled to be involved in this year’s awards.

“2018 was a ground-breaking year for Finance Awards Wales with its launch – the first dedicated awards to recognise the huge contribution of Finance professionals across the country.  We are committed to continuing to raise the profile of the Finance profession in Wales and excited to find out who wins in 2020” says Recruit 121 Group CEO, Che Hookings.

Economy Minister Ken Skates said:

“The talented finance sector we have nurtured here in Wales is a vital part of our thriving national economy. “Finance Awards Wales has shone a light on the excellence of professionals working in the field, from experienced directors and chief financial officers to gifted apprentices and graduates. “I look forward to celebrating their successes again in the third year of these important awards.”
