Next Steps for Zero Emission Vehicles in the UK
This in-person conference is focusing on key issues affecting the future of zero emission vehicles in the UK.
It is bringing together key policymakers with stakeholders to discuss:
- market trends and dynamics, competition, supply and demand, and prospects for meeting policy targets for EV adoption
- the impact of rising costs and changes to government incentives on the competitiveness of ZEVs
- strategies for addressing challenges for production and the supply chain
- next steps for innovation in battery technology, charging, HGVs and hydrogen
- priorities for ZEV charging infrastructure rollout and accessibility, including the role of local government and regional initiatives
The conference will also be an opportunity to discuss the future direction of government policy under new political leadership, with net-zero reaffirmed as a key priority.
Delegates will examine issues relating to Taking Charge: the UK electric vehicle infrastructure strategy and progress on Decarbonising Transport, as well as wider developments such as the Critical Minerals Strategy and the Hydrogen Sector Development Action Plan being implemented in the drive for UK green energy and supply chain self-reliance.
The Westminster Energy, Environment & Transport Forum are pleased to be able to include keynote sessions with Caroline Low, Director of Transport Decarbonisation, Department for Transport; Philip Meikle, Transport Strategy Director, Transport North East; and Maria Bengtsson, Partner, UK&I Electric Vehicle Lead, Ernst and Young.
