This session tackles sensitive issues around menopause in the work head-on, from insights into developing a personal approach to talking with colleagues, family and friends, to the importance of raising awareness in the workplace, supporting employees, reducing absenteeism and increasing wellbeing through improving organisational working practices.
OUR SPEAKERS
Mark Hendy – Director, Hendy HR Limited
Mark Hendy is a Human Resources Professional from South Wales who has worked in various sectors across some of the UK’s biggest businesses, operating both nationally and internationally. Mark is a self-confessed HR geek, who loves talking about everything related to the workplace and employment, including legislation, practice, technology, leadership, and what the future workplace will look like. Mark is a keen evidence-based HR professional, and founder of the popular global HR Chat ‘HRHour’ which takes place on Twitter every Thursday evening between 8-9pm. Mark is Chair of the South Wales HR Forum and a TedX Speaker, and is a fellow of the CIPD, the RSA and CEBMa.
Hayfa Mohdzaini – Senior Research Adviser, CIPD
Hayfa joined in 2020 as the CIPD’s Senior Research Adviser in Data, Technology and AI. She started her career in the private sector working in IT and then HR, and has been writing for the HR community since 2012. Previously she worked for another membership organisation (UCEA) where she expanded the range of pay and workforce benchmarking data available to the higher education HR community. Hayfa has degrees in computer science and human resources from University of York and University of Warwick respectively.
She is interested in how the people profession can contribute to good work through technology.
