Business Connect Mid Wales
Business Connect Mid Wales is a space where we provide you with the right platform to be seen, heard and listened to. It’s a group where you will feel empowered, connected and confident to develop strong, worthwhile and long-lasting business relationships.
Have you ever wondered what sport professionals and business owners have in common? It turns out there are plenty of similarities between the two. The way an athlete trains for a race and the way business owners run their businesses. Both require planning, endurance, focus and the right mindset in order to perform at their best.
For this session, we’re being joined by ex-Osprey Rugby player, Scott Otten. We’ll be exploring the concept of becoming an athlete, and what learnings from elite athletes can be applied to the business environment.
Don’t miss out, join our first online Business Connect Mid Wales session of 2023!
What will the event cover?
During this online session, Scott will be discussing his story from education to rugby and business. He will elaborate on some of the key moments which made him grow as a person. He will explain his injury, and what followed which includes adversity, resilience, darker times, and successes.
Scott will also be covering three key topics which are:
Opening your mind – What do you want to achieve? Learn and educate yourself to be more charismatic, optimistic and adventurous. Aim for your goals by knowing all of the information.
Being resilient – How do you react when some experiences do not go the way you want it to? By having an open mind, it will help you become more resilient. The more information you know and the more educated you become encourages more certainty, more confidence and more willingness to drive forward.
Understanding set-backs and how you move forward – By having an open mind and being resilient you will provide yourself with the tools to understand adversity, and the tools to help yourself move forward and actually learn from the set-backs which in time help you grow.
