Business Connect Mid Wales: The Game Change Project
Business Connect Mid Wales is a space where we provide you with the right platform to be seen, heard and listened to. A group where you will feel empowered, connected and confident to develop strong, worthwhile and long-lasting business relationships.
Andrew Evans and Sian Roberts, Co-Founders of The Game Change Project, will be joining the Hub to talk through how they set up their business. They will also be explaining how and why they formed a community interest company that’s dedicated to improving the lives of young people in Powys.
What will the event cover?
This in-person workshop will cover the ups and downs of their journey so far, the passion and core values that drive their business, top tips on surviving and thriving in the third sector and inspiring stories about young people who’ve turned their lives around from their involvement in the project.
There will also be a sneak peek at some of their upcoming corporate coaching and team building events, with an early bird discount for attendees!
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is suited to anyone interested in learning more about community interest companies, how they can get a head start in the non-profit sector, the relevance of corporate social responsibility and how to motivate and inspire others.
About the speakers
Andrew is a qualified engineer by trade who started his own plant machinery business in his early 20’s. In 1994, he saw an opportunity to diversify the family farm into an off-road rally karting track and outdoor activity centre.
Over the years, Andrew has provided work experience and employment to several young people who were struggling to engage with the traditional approach to education. He found that he was able to relate to them and help then to find their true potential. This sparked a passion for working with disengaged young people. Through The Game Change Project, Andrew has helped many more young people get their foot on the employment ladder and improve their prospects.
Sian’s background is in coaching and community development. She is a strong believer that learning by doing is the best approach for young people to develop confidence, respect, self-awareness, communication and numerous other life skills.
By joining forces with Andrew, Sian believes they have what it takes to make a real difference to young people’s lives in Powys.
