Showcasing the Best of Welsh Business

Digital Innovation Fund for Wales Launched

A new fund has been launched that will give arts organisations in Wales up to £75,000 to experiment with digital technologies.

The Digital Innovation Fund for the Arts in Wales will support organisations to see how digital technology can be used to expand audiences and develop new business models.

Funded by the Arts Council of Wales and innovation charity Nesta, the scheme will fund eight projects with up to £5,000 to develop initial ideas, after which several projects will receive up to £75,000 alongside business and research support to deliver their plans.

The money follows on from Nesta’s Digital R&D Fund for the Arts in Wales, which was launched in 2013 and encouraged organisations to work with research partners on digital projects.
