Cwmcarn Forest Re-opens the Popular Twrch Trail in Time for Summer

Bikers are thrilled as Cwmcarn Forest re-opens the popular Twrch Trail in time for the summer months.

Described as one of Wales’ hidden gems, the Twrch trail is back in action after a part closure over the past two years for the tree felling works.

The trail is marketed to those experienced riders who are looking for a steep climb and a rollercoaster style descent on a single track.

Cwmcarn Forest offers a perfect destination for bikers, ramblers, families and dog lovers. The Visitors Centre is packed with walking guides and maps for some of the best walking routes in Wales including the 12 mile ‘Raven Walk’.

Raven’s Café is a popular meeting spot for those looking for a coffee and a cake or a refuelling full breakfast after a morning of exploring and is open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday.

In addition to the exquisite views the vast area also boasts state-of-the-art glamping pods in the 4 star rated camp site. The area can accommodate up to 20 tents or caravans in addition to the 10 glamping pods.
