Social media analytics firm Blurrt announced as winner of UK-wide tech award

Social media analytics firm Blurrt, which is based in Cwmbran, has won a coveted TechCities award at an event in London. The Tech City Insider awards recognise some of the most innovative and cutting-edge tech businesses based in the UK. Winners were announced last week at a venue held on Trampery Old Street in East London. More than 200 figures from the UK tech industry were in attendance.

Blurrt was shortlisted alongside a number of other Welsh tech businesses, including Bring-it and Ramp Commerce. This comes as the firm recently announced a crowdfunding campaign to raise £500k. It’s already worked with the likes of Warner Brothers, GoCompare, ITV and LBC, and it’s currently providing the BBC with real-time data for a new marketing campaign for the BBC Store. Jason Smith, CEO of Blurrt, said: “The Blurrt brand continues to strengthen and develop, and we feel we are really continuing to make our mark on the UK tech scene. “Being recognised at the TechCities awards last night was a fantastic achievement and one that we hope will show investors right across the country the huge potential of our technology.
