IT and communications firm SA1 Solutions has been appointed by Autism Wessex to provide a fully managed communications service to the organisation.

The Swansea-based company began work for Autism Wessex during May this year (2019), providing services including cloud back-up, server support, desktop support and Office 365 packages. The charity, based in Christchurch, Bournemouth, chose SA1 Solutions for its competitive price offering and ability to offer access to helpdesk and server support teams.

Autism Wessex provides support to anyone affected by autism. This includes the running of Portfield School, which supports children and young people with autism and associated difficulties aged 3-19, providing seven residential homes for adults across the Wessex region, offering autism advice services, as well as providing community support.

SA1 Solutions’ contract with Autism Wessex will support over 100 users across the charity’s main offices, school and residential premises.

Simon Ahearne, Managing Director at SA1 Solutions, said:

“We are delighted to be working with Autism Wessex to support the organisation with its IT and communications functioning. From having vast experience working with charitable organisations, we understand the importance of keeping costs low, so being able to offer Autism Wessex a competitively priced service was crucial to enable it to operate at the highest level without any financial burden.

“The work Autism Wessex does for those affected by autism is truly admirable and we are very proud to be associated with the charity. As a Swansea-based company, providing our services to Autism Wessex also enables us to build upon our client base in the South of England.”

Dave Loosemore, Senior Systems Technician at Autism Wessex, added:

“Being able to consistently run our wide and flexible range of services with high standards is vitally important to the work that we do for those affected by autism. Using the services of a company like SA1 Solutions that encompasses all our IT and communications needs, while keeping costs down is a major advantage for us. Having a reliable service with access to support teams allows us to operate with minimal disruption, leaving us to concentrate on helping children, adults and families affected by autism.”

SA1 Solutions is a leading managed service provider based in South Wales, offering services to over 200 customers across the UK.
