Outline of Role

We’re looking for an ambitious, highly motivated commercial development manager who has a strong desire to succeed to join our team. As a fast-growing media business, there is a real opportunity to develop your role.

Your job as commercial development manager is to identify sales leads, pitch services to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with new contacts.

The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all Business News Wales products and services
  • Work collaboratively across all areas of the business in order to keep communication channels open
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
