CellPath, a Newtown-based manufacturer and supplier of consumables, equipment, and services to aid cancer diagnostics, is celebrating Rob Jones’ 30th year working at the company.

To celebrate the milestone and show appreciation of Rob’s dedication, he was presented with a personalised crystal tankard and a cheque for £3,000.

Rob joined the company as an operator when he was just 27. He has since become known as Rob ‘The Knife’, having been directly involved in the making of over 2 million Pathology knives, used in the dissection of human tissue, over the last 30 years.

On receiving his award, Rob stated:

“I am delighted to be recognised for my long-service to CellPath. When I joined the company, I didn’t expect to still be here today! However, even as the company has grown over my time they still place their employees at the heart of everything they do. “

Commenting on Rob’s achievement, Paul Webber said:

“We are always delighted to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our employees, especially those who now been with us for 30 years! Rob’s long-service award is testament to his loyalty, enthusiasm and commitment to the company and its goals. He is an inspiration for all of us. We have a few other employees also approaching this milestone and very much look forward to celebrating their achievements in due course.”
