Red Balwn Coch is celebrating after it was announced they had become a finalist for National Day Nurseries Association’s Nursery of the Year Wales awards.
Parents wrote praising testimonies to help Red Balwn Coch become a finalist in the 15th annual awards.
Nursery Manager Stephanie-Mayy said:
“We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award. We feel extremely proud and very much appreciate the continuous support from our parents. Both staff and children here are over the moon, we will be arranging a celebration in the Summer. In addition to this we have won a e-Quality Counts Award, this is the highest quality award available to Nurseries in the UK!”.
Deputy Manager, Chloe said
”We would like to thank everyone who voted for us, we are really proud of our successes and will be holding a Summer party to celebrate with our families, external professionals and Cardiff socialites are also invited!”
NDNA Chief Executive, Purnima Tanuku OBE, said:

“I look forward to seeing them at the ceremony.”
BBC Midlands journalist, Sarah Bishop, will be announcing the winners at the ceremony at the Ricoh Arena on 22 June. The evening will start with drinks at 7:30pm, followed by a three course meal at 8:00pm. Following the awards announcements, a live band will close the night at 11:30.
The NDNA’s annual conference is held at the same venue during the day.
The 15th annual Awards have seen more nurseries than ever register with 200 applying.
Shortlisted nurseries were chosen by NDNA staff. NDNA associates will be carrying out nursery visits in due course, ready for panel on 23 May.
